- Game's work in title was Last Escape, a reference to the original version subtitle in Japan. Design philosophy is centred around "escaping".
- It all comes down to Nemesis, alot of the new mechanics are there to make him even more organic. He's been given two new weapon to expand his arsenal, the Minigun (which they specifically said was homage to his movie incarnation), and a Sniper-esque railgun (the devs described him being able to take up sniper positions on certain buildings). Unlike the original game, he begun to use his firearms in random encounters rather then boss battles. he He is still encountered in set locations, but he can appear dynamically basically ANYWHERE. It was upwards to 11 times in the base game, now apparently it can go beyond forty.
- The player can dynamically barricade windows and lock doors, which can delay Nemesis. To compensate, he can, with time, smash them apart, and can break through certain walls. He's been described as ambushing the players, by staying silent at street corners, and confusing people with erratic patterns.
- The map has been hugely expanded, not really in terms of map size, but in content density, alot of the previously closed off buildings can now be explored. Such as a police munitions armoury, and a steakhouse.
- Spiders are returning, but no Crows. Hunters are replacing the Lickers, as in the original game, and they are described as "terrifying", will use stealth and actual hunting tactics to pursue the player.
- Jill, as an elite police officer, and former delta force trooper, gets critical shots more easily, can run faster, take more damage, and gets her dodge option. To compensate, enemies are stronger.
- Carlos role has been expanded. Didn't want to to say much about this, but his potential playtime is doubling.
- Game is roughly 13 hours, there's about three largely expanded scenarios that weren't present in the base game. There's going to also be a handful of new bosses.
RE4 bietet ein ganz besonderes Flair, das kein anderes RE bieten konnte. Keine Anhung was das genau ist, aber habe gerade jetzt wieder Bock auf einen weitereren Run bekommen.
