We heard Liam Neeson lend his gravitas-filled voice to the father in Fallout 3, and Bethesda has now followed suit with even more celebrities voicing characters in Fallout: New Vegas. Ron Perlman makes a return as the narrator, of course. Matthew Perry (Friends) plays a smooth, deceitful gangster. Las Vegas crooner Wayne Newton will voice the radio DJ "Mr. New Vegas."
Companions will accompany the hero on his or her New Vegas quest, and they're getting an injection of celebrity status as well. Danny Trejo (Machete) will play Raul the Ghoul, a retired gunslinger who works as a mechanic. Zachary Levi (Chuck) plays Arcade, a Follower of the Apocalypse member. Geek-crush and Dr. Horrible star Felicia Day will play Veronica, a sharp-tongued scribe of the Brotherhood of Steel.
Other talent includes Kris Kristofferson as the grizzled soldier Chief Hanlon, Rene Auberjonois as Mr. House, Michael Dorn as the super mutant Marcus, John Doman as the dictator Caesar, and William Sadler as a friendly cowboy robot named Victor. The press release also promises various other celebrity cameos.
"The Fallout franchise has taken narratives in interactive entertainment to the next level, and we could not be more excited about the all-new celebrity lineup for Fallout: New Vegas," said Bethesda marketing VP Pete Hines, in the press release. "The voice acting provided by these actors help drive the compelling and immersive story of Fallout and further adds to the overall gameplay experience."
