Hello SnowRunners!

Today's update fixes a number of issues, mainly relating to mods on consoles, including restoring money to players whose balance became negative. Due to an issue with the Xbox One Patch, the updates are split today, but will be restored to the same version when Season 3 arrives.

Patch Notes
Patch 11.1 (Xbox One only)

  • Fixed a bug where the title entered an indefinite unresponsive state after changing user in the Mod Browser
  • Removed “Guides” option on consoles mod browser
Patch 11.2 (PS4 and PC)
General

  • Fixed a bug where trucks that were placed on a Big Salmon Peak disappeared after an update. (Unfortunately it is not possible to restore lost vehicles, only prevent the issue from happening again)
  • Fixed a bug with different cabins counter in description and tracking section
Mods

  • Fixed an issue with negative balance resulting from players selling a specific addon equipped on a specific truck mod. Any negative balance is switched to positive in this update
  • Fixed a bug where it was not possible to download a missing map mod in coop
  • Fixed a bug where once a mod was deleted from console mods, a "missing mod" warning message kept appearing on the game save loading screen
  • Fixed a bug where the "Failed to connect to mod.io" message popped up every couple of seconds when using a mod browser in offline mode
  • Disabled achievements for co-op sessions that have mods activated
  • Fixed a bug where players could be unsubscribed from a mod without approval
  • Fixed a bug where console mods which obtained the "not approved" status, remained subscribed and could not be deleted

wow, jetzt nach dem Patch gehen Mods gar nicht mehr (PS4 pro) , Respekt.

habe ca. 2,7GB Modspeicher frei, und selbst bei kleinsten DLs von wenigen MB bekomme ich eine Mod-Speicherplatzmangel Warnung angezeigt.


und die Fehlermeldungen beim Start der Session (fehlender Mod) bekomme ich auch immer noch.

wow, now after the patch mods don't work anymore (PS4 pro), respect.

I have about 2.7GB of mod-memory free, and even with the smallest DLs of a few MB, I get a warning that there is not enough Mod-Memoryspace.


and I still get the error message when starting the session (missing mod).

Die Probleme scheinen auf der Playstation noch größer geworden sein. Habe selber über 25 Mods aktiv und keine Problme.

  • Ongoing objectives set up and art fixes for the Wisconsin region
  • Added proper model for the Pacific P512 PF
  • Added license plate to the stock front bumper on the International Paystar 5600TS
  • Improved warning messages for the logs manual loading zone
General fixes:

  • Fixed a bug where the locomotive was clipping through train cars then and thrown in the air in some cases
  • Fixed a bug where the animation of activating anchor of the 'IM50 Loading Crane' repeated if the user pressed 'Restore crane' just before the anchors were set on the ground
  • Adjusted height of 'Boar 45318' truck so it would allow attaching semi-trailers properly
  • Fixed a bug where two different gearboxes had the same name for Khan 39 Marshall
  • Fixed a bug where ‘Framing’ zones and buildings desynced between host and client
  • Fixed a bug where players were unable to select Prototype Exploration Unit at the Trailer Store
  • Fixed a bug where players were able to load long logs without using a trailer
  • Fixed a bug where medium logs were not properly attached to the truck when loaded at the log station
  • Fixed a bug where players could not switch crafting options on Sawmill at the Wisconsin location

Hello SnowRunners,

We hope you've all had a great new year and are ready to keep on truckin' into 2021, because we certainly are! We know you must all have a lot of questions after the slightly more quiet holiday season, so we're here to satisfy your curiosity with today's XXL January update! Let's dig in.

Season Tree is coming

If you've been itching to haul some logs, the next major update is going to please you. The classic logging gameplay from MudRunner is making a comeback, and will arrive with two large new maps in the brand new Wisconsin region, as well as on previous maps, both DLC and base game.



When braving the two 4km² maps (Grainwoods River and Black Badger Lake), your mission is to repair a train loading station and clear train tracks to get the log deliveries back up and running. To do this you'll need to power inactive facilities deep in the wilderness using special generator trailers, which are limited in number. Make sure you plan your routes and your gear ahead of time, because Wisconsin can be unforgiving to the unprepared.

Season 3 content at a glance:

  • Wisconsin, USA region with two large 4km² maps: Grainwoods River + Black Badger Lake
  • Logging gameplay, including logging contracts on previous maps
  • 3 new vehicles
    • International PayStar Twin Steer
    • Pacific P512 PF
    • BOAR 45318
  • New Vehicle Skins & customization items
  • New add-ons, including two types of log grapple
Free content:

  • 2 new trials
  • New missions on previous maps
  • New customization items, including curtains
We're currently targeting a February release for Season 3.

Recent known issues update:
  • Friends list loading endlessly: This has been fixed.
  • Negative money on consoles. This was caused by a mod (fixed now). Yesterday’s update restored money by turning negative balance into positive (The fix for this is still on the way for Xbox One).
  • Yukon mission cabin bug: The mission required 10 or 15 cabins, which should have been 2 or 3. This has been fixed now, but you may need to restart the mission for it to take effect.
  • Lost vehicles on Big Salmon Peak: The team has found a fix to make certain it doesn't happen again. It is unfortunately not possible to restore the lost vehicles. Apologies to those affected by this.
Before reporting a bug, please consult the Known Issues List, so we can avoid multiple similar threads, which slows down the rate at which we can respond and gather the info needed to fix them.

Mod Awards Overhaul
Starting with January, we're making BIG changes to the monthly mod awards. Instead of winners being picked based on subscriber numbers, a team of Saber developers will pick their 5 favourite mods every month, one for each of 5 categories. We believe this is a simpler, fairer system that will result in a wider variety of winners each month.

1. Vehicle Model: The devs will pick the mod which has the most impressive model to them.
2. Driving Experience: The devs will pick what stands out to them in terms of being satisfying to drive, be it due to authenticity or just plain fun.
3. Map Design: The devs will pick maps based on their design, including tasks, missions, flow, and how it feels to play.
4. Map Environment: The devs will pick maps based on the most impressive, detailed, and aesthetically pleasing environments.
5. Unique: This is the odd one out. Mods that push the boundaries of expectation. Points for originality, innovation, uniqueness, and fun. Basically, this is where the giant purple octopus trucks go.



Things to keep in mind:

  • Mods that are obviously trying to "game" the system in any way to win will be ignored by the devs.
  • Mods with branded vehicles that are not licensed by SnowRunner cannot be considered for legal reasons.
  • A modder can't win twice in the same month, but can win in consecutive months. Theoretically, the same mod can win twice in different months, but practically, this is very unlikely, unless an update (or series of updates) is deemed extraordinary enough to warrant it.
  • Whether a mod is on console or not has no impact on its chances of winning.
  • The developer choices are subjective. You can disagree, and have a conversation about it, but please do so politely. Insults to the devs or anyone else are not tolerated. Let's celebrate the winners and their creations instead!

Console Mods Weekly Update
We understand many of you are eager for more visibility on which mods are coming to console, so starting this week, we will be posting a list of all the mods that have arrived on console in the last 7 days. This will go out each Wednesday. Over time, the rate of new mods coming to console will slow down, and we will adapt the rate of these updates to fit the circumstances.

We’ve also seen a lot of you asking about what is required for a mod to be eligible to be added to consoles, so we’re going to add a list requirements in a dedicated forum post that you can use as reference for this.

Until then, it’s important that we clarify an important point: Mods with branded vehicles can not be considered for consoles for legal reasons. The exception to this rule is branded vehicles that are already in SnowRunner.

Die haben genug anders zutun :) da wird es wohl erst mal bis die Phase 4 abgeschlossen ist, kein Next Gen Update geben.

Public Testing Server was updated to 12.4 version, you will find list of changes below. We appreciate all the feedback, thank you for the assistance!

PTS DLC 3: Patch 12.4

General additions:

  • Added tutorial pop up that explains how the generator works
  • Improved performance in co-op when players interact with locomotive
General fixes:

  • Fixed a bug where winch attachment point was blocked with objectives markers
  • Fixed a bug where driver appeared in all vehicles at the same time in co-op
  • Fixed a bug where the truck got flipped on the side when trying to load a long log cargo in case if the truck and the trailer were not properly aligned.
  • Fixed a bug where navigation shifted to another tab without opening it after pressing L3 in the "contracts" tab on the minimap
  • Fixed a bug where a waypoint could be incorrectly placed in some cases
  • Fixed a bug where after disabling generator it was possible to craft one unit of cargo before crafting will be blocked
  • Fixed a bug where with a certain amount of mods activated, player could start a single-player game, but not COOP game
  • Fixed a bug where the two consumables in the delivered trailer of the task Trailer in the River had no objective icon
  • Fixed a bug where a different number of logs was required to pack cargo in a trailer with automatic and manual loading at the Log Station
Trucks:

  • Tweaked crane placement for Pacific P512 PF
  • Added license plate numbers for all Pacific P512 PF bumpers
  • Improved highlighting of Pacific P512 PF dashboard
  • Fixed a bug where upgrades "Stock" suspension and "51"P12 AT" tires were locked for Pacific P512
