Hab mal gegoogelt und die Theorie scheint zumindest halbwegs verbreitet zu sein:

Die zitierten Passagen wurden übrigens vor Skyfall verfasst. Daraus kann man zumindest ableiten, dass diese Verbindung in Skyfall bewusst gesetzt wurde.
