Season 3 is LIVE! Escape into the Wisconsin wilderness and become a logger!

Available to all Season Pass and Premium Edition owners, Season 3 brings two new maps in a new region, new vehicles, vehicle skins, stickers, and the return of iconic, loved logging gameplay. Wisconsin, USA debuts as part of Season 3, a new region all about logging lumber for big paydays. A limited number of generators are needed to power all the buildings in the area and it’s up to you to pick and choose what you need and when as you repair a train station and accompanying lines.



Climb aboard the new International PayStar Twin Steer, the Pacific P512 PF, and the BOAR 45318 as you take them through Grainwoods River and Black Badger Lake. Both are flooded, densely forested landscapes filled with broken down machinery and missions to discover.

The traditional free update alongside Season 3’s paid content adds new trials, cargo, and (logging) missions, as well as various cosmetic upgrades. In addition, we encourage you all to download from the ever-expanding selection of community-made mods on both console and PC to further enhance your SnowRunner experience.

The team is so excited to see your reactions to this huge update! And as you make your way through Wisconsin, don't forget there's a lot more to come!

General Additions:

General Fixes:

  • Fixed a bug where trucks that were left on a bridge could get stuck when the game was relaunched
  • Fixed a bug where the "Starting Engine" message appeared when the player tried to winch another player's car with a stopped engine
  • Fixed a camera shake that happened when a player used any of the 'Move Crane' buttons for a crane of the 'KRS 58 "Bandit"' truck
  • Beacons on trucks are now disabled by default, beacons' state is now saved
  • Fixed a bug in the task "Tools for the Warehouse", in Big Salmon Peak, where the player approached the objective Curtainside Trailer for the first time, it jumped out the ground
  • Improved winch attachment point for the 'Heavy Rock Trailer'
  • Fixed a bug where objective trailer/vehicle was discovered again after a task restart
  • Added oil stains in the water where the player's truck is
  • Fixed a bug where in some cases points shown in the garage to unlock stuff were wrong and not tied to the actual players rank
  • Fixed a bug where the sound of anchors was looped if the truck was changed while the anchors are moving
  • Fixed a bug in co-op where the host could invite players despite the game's players limit being maxed out
  • Fixed a bug where the crane of 'KRS 58 Bandit' truck was rotating in some cases after entering the truck if the crane was rotated at 180 degrees before
  • Fixed a bug where destination markers were placed after rotating a map
  • Fixed a bug where the distance was not converted in gallons/miles metric system in missions that involves the seismic vibrator
  • Disabled blur for on-map trucks where a player drives nearby
  • Fixed a bug where the third slot of the manage party menu was unlocked while the game was limited to two players

Mod Browser:

  • Fixed a bug where in some cases list of mods that player needs to download to join a co-op game was not complete
  • Fixed a bug where mods were available in truck store for a client in COOP session without mods
  • Fixed a bug where co-op game invitations did not work in the mod browser and after leaving the mod browser
  • Fixed a bug where with a certain amount of mods activated, the player could start a single-player game, but not a COOP game
Modding:

  • Fixed a bug where the ‘Vehicles found’ counter did not increase when the player found vehicles on the mod map
  • Added additional mod verification checks in the game editor packaging process
  • Supported custom employers names
  • Supported the purchase of any trucks from different regions in custom scenarios
  • Mod creators are now able to create addons with a mobile watchtower functionality
  • Mod creators are now able to set up default player level and amount of money in custom scenarios
  • Map mod creators are now able to set up custom prices in the garage
  • A memory limit has been implemented for mods to improve performance while playing with mods. This system will be improved through iterations in future updates.
Consoles:

  • Added an option to disable KSIVA
  • Video settings are now properly restored to default (Motion Blur, Film Grain, Sharpening)
  • Fixed a bug where video settings were reset to default after the game restart
  • Fixed a bug where the title did not display an appropriate system dialog where a user with the 'You can see and upload community creations' privilege set to 'Block' attempted to access user-generated content.
Maps:

  • Added a highlight for the 'Manual Loading' in the 'Quarry' area on the 'Smithville Dam' level, Michigan
  • Fixed a bug where players could not restart the Lost Instrument task in Zimnegorsk
Trucks:

  • Tweaked mirrors placement for the WS49x
  • Tweaked winch connection point for the Bandit's crane
 
Konnte schon jemand die Lok abliefern? Bei mir steht sie an der Location, aber nichts passiert?

Okay, jetzt habe ich eine andere Mission gemacht und die Lok gilt als abgeliefert. Saber, ey :fp:

Btw. kurze Stämme gibt es nicht, oder? Und Mittelgroße kann man nur mit dem Drehschemel transportieren? Da hätte man ja zumindest dem großen Paystar eine Möglichkeit ohne Hänger geben können. Und die Schlammstelle vor dem Stahllager auf der ersten Karte ist ja wohl auch ein Abfuck sondergleichen. Und da muß man ein Dutzend mal durch. Macht bisher echt nur mäßig Spaß :|
 
Ne... die kurze Stämme sollen noch kommen, da es schon für den einen CAT Truck einen Zusatz für kurze Stämme im PTS gab.
 
Für Alle, die die Mammutbäume transportieren wollen: Mittelstammtrailer und Langstammaufsatz auf dem Truck geht. Kann man zwar nicht festzurren, aber das geht auch auf keinem andern Trailer. Wäre auch zuviel verlangt...

We are back with another community update to keep you posted on the game’s development and improvements. The past month has been quite eventful, especially with the launch of Season 3: Locate & Deliver, which we are delighted to see you enjoy!

First, thank you for all your honest Season 3 feedback. We loved watching you discover Wisconsin and lug some thicc pieces of wood on some thicc trucks.

We're always carefully reading all of your feedback and reports, and after the Season 3 update, one issue stood out: the RAM limit on consoles. When mods arrived on consoles, they caused unexpected crashes, due to coming from a different system. In order to limit those and improve your gaming experience, we have had to put a stronger mod limitation on PS4 and Xbox One. The unfortunate consequence is players being unable to use as many mods at the same time as before, or not being able to use certain larger mods.

We’ve seen the feedback on this, and acknowledge that the current limitation is too strict. We understand and apologize for the frustration caused, but rest assured: improvements are in progress. The team is currently working hard on memory enhancement.

Improvements and fixes on the way:

  • Increase the amount of available memory for mods on consoles by at least 40%
  • Improvement of the slow gearbox stick movement when setting it to reverse
  • Fix a bug where video settings were not saved after restarting the game
  • Fix a bug where a false RAM restriction appeared when players tried to connect to the co-op host with mods activated
  • Various crash fixes and optimizations
We’re patching it up! We will share more info as soon as possible.

Note for modders: Until the RAM limit is increased you may need to optimize your mod if it’s not accepted for consoles. The easiest way is to reduce poly count and compress sounds (or use in-game sounds instead of custom ones). Keep in mind that the RAM limit is not the same as the overall 1GB mod size limit. Alternatively you can wait until we increase the limit.

Truck Tournament

Earlier this month, we launched a truck tournament on our social media pages featuring all base game as well as Season Pass trucks - apart from one that had to be removed for the numbers to match up. Can you guess which one is missing?



As you can see on the listing above, all trucks have been randomly put in groups of 3. Although the contest has already started, it's far from over! It's up to you to help your favorite trucks make it to the end, and perhaps become the winner of the tournament!

What's Next?
Why, Season 4, of course! But it's a little early to talk about it right now. What we can say is that it's a big one, and we can't wait to show it to you. Besides the next big content update, the team is also working on more bug fixes and improvements, moving more mods to consoles, and improving the memory limit, as mentioned above.

Soon, we'll also be announcing the February winners of the Mod Awards! To simplify matters for the team and open up the choices, we've decided to have two winners in a single category: Favorite Vehicle Mods (before, it was split between "vehicle model" and "driving feel"). The full list is therefore:

1. Vehicle: (Two winners) The devs will pick their overall favourite vehicles, based on both look and how it feels to play.
2. Map Design: The devs will pick maps based on their design, including tasks, missions, flow, and how it feels to play.
3. Map Environment: The devs will pick maps based on the most impressive, detailed, and aesthetically pleasing environments.
4. Unique: This is the odd one out. Mods that push the boundaries of expectation. Points for originality, innovation, uniqueness, and fun. Basically, this is where the giant purple octopus trucks go.

Neues PTS Update (Phase 4)
We've just opened up the Public Test Server for testing! A number of fixes have been applied, including for crashes and co-op, and a change to the gearbox stick movement.

Any feedback you have is much appreciated, as always!

  • Fixed a bug where video settings were not saved after restarting the game
  • Fixed slow gearbox stick movement when a player is trying to set it to reverse
  • Various fixes for logging mechanics in co-op
  • Crash fixes and optimizations

In this build we've significantly re-worked logic behind cargo synchronization, especially everything related to logging. We would appreciate if you provide your feedback from this build on logging and other features while we are working on public release of this update for everyone.

Daran müssen sie auch dringend noch arbeiten. Ich fliege als Knecht bei Anderen immer nach einer Stunde oder so aus deren Spiel, passiert bei keinem anderen Spiel. Ich kann auch sofort wieder joinen, aber meine Trucks, Hänger und Fracht sind natürlich futsch.
