Das heißt, der ist nun fast so schwer wie der 360 Controller? Hat man endlich das Gefühl was in der Hand zu haben![]()

Samara is a 2014 HSA design with a IOMMU that allows secure and efficient UMA with external IO.

GNB core (Graphics North Bridge) is based on the AMD fusion core technology, The GNB is a fusion of Graphic processor, power optimizer, audio processor, south bridge and north bridge which share a common interface with system memory.
With IOMMU and Southbridge in UNB which is inside Samara with a Trustzone processor, Samara can support TEE DRM. Samara is a 20nm 2014 design which from two Cites might release at the end of 2013 Earlier than expected for 20nm AMD products and this might be tied to the 28nm PS4 APU being sold to other vendors. Since the PS4 APU does not contain Trustzone or UVD it must be paired with something like Samara. Samara does have a PCIe port so it's designed to support IO via a PCI port which explains the IOMMU.
I believe that AMD will continue with SMALL GPUs in APUs as the primary CPU, they must if they continue with UVD that needs to use GPU shaders. I believe dGPUs will eventually become similar to PS4 APUs which do not have UVDs or Trustzone but do have Jaguar CPUs. Does this mean the PS4 APU does have a PCI port and IOMMU? I'd guess yes. Onion and Garlic buss plus IOMMU

Update: A reader has pointed out that in an interview with Gamasutra, PlayStation 4 lead architect Mark Cerny said that both CPU and GPU have full access to all the system's memory, strongly suggesting that it is indeed a hUMA HSA system.
Kavari is (PC and Notebook) designed to support PCI ports which supports it having a IOMMU (Explains hUMA support)
Kabini is designed for Tablets without PCI so no IOMMU (Explains no hUMA support)
Samara is designed to support PCI (PC, Notebook and ?) so it's a power efficient next generation Kavari but with Jaguar CPUs and IOMMU.
Samara is the first AMD product that will be forged by both TSMC and Global Foundries. Two reasons, at 20nm both TSMC and GF use the same processes and I expect AMD plans to sell tons of Samara, the first Full HSA that is also TEE DRM secure and can be used in all products from PCs to embedded.

There's a lot of indie developer love at Sony, but you don't seem to have as much of a focus on exclusive titles as Microsoft. Is that perception accurate?
I believe an underappreciated aspect of what's going on is that PlayStation 4 is the world's most powerful games console, and I think that is going to become increasingly apparent as time goes by. Even if titles are multi-platform, if the game experience is more responsive or more visually attractive on a certain platform, it definitely does play into the overall success.

Wird aber wohl bei vielen Titeln abseits des MS und Sony Bereichs der Fall gewesen sein. Trotzdem ärgerlich, wenn man mal gerne Vergleichsbilder zu den Titeln haben möchte.
