New Shot Meter
Let me clarify up the design of the shot meter. In previous 2K's, shot timing was just another factor within a huge list of other things that spit out a final shot % which we then rolled dice against. So really, it was Real Player % with a bit of help from the user. But the skill of the user had a minimal impact.

In 2K15, all factors that make up a good vs. bad shot get rolled up into a value that then scales the timing window for your jump shooter. So now, timing is a much more crucial factor in whether you make or miss. This puts the onus on the user to execute with more precision and separates the skilled users from the lucky ones. It's actually very similar to the design of Free Throw shooting. You can make the shot if you manage to get perfect timing but your % falls the further you are from the ideal release point. If you're way off, it's a guaranteed miss.

It's also a much more useful feedback system. If you're unfamiliar with your players, it's much easier to get a sense of their timing by glancing at the meter. Also, it's much easier to see how close or off you were with your timing after the fact to help you learn... much more useful than the letter grade system (which is still an option btw.)

My intention was never to make shooting a "meter game." The most successful people in the office are the ones who still watch the shot animations for visual cues of when to release, using the meter only for feedback or for occasional guidance.

I knew there would be some concerns, so let me try to address those now:

- No, you cannot "master" the meter and hit every shot you take
- Yes, you can turn it off in the options menu
- Yes, Real FG% is still an option
- Yes, it is very difficult to get "perfect timing," especially on the higher levels

Hopefully that clears some things up. IMO, shooting is much more engaging now and I think you guys will like the feature.

29 Reasons Why NBA 2K15's MyGM May Be The Future Of Franchise Modes

Paar Highlights

On Virtual Currency: "Visual Concepts is distancing itself from its controversial approach to injecting VC into the MyGM experience last year. In NBA 2K15 the VC is nearly stripped out of the mode in favor of a leveling system where you accrue XP for every action you take."

New Draftee Storylines: "Visual Concepts plans to surface several storylines throughout the year based on research it did on the last 20-30 draft classes. The various types of players you could encounter include flash-in-the-pan players who may be at their full potential already on draft day, late bloomers who rise up the draft board at the last minute, players with serious injury concerns that you may not know about unless you him in for a visit."

College Stats: "For NBA 2K15 Visual Concepts built an engine to simulate an entire college season, giving you the ability to look at the stats of all draft candidates."

Draft Combine is in: "NBA 2K15 adds the draft combine to the mix this year, where you may find out that a school is playing fast and loose with the height and weights they list in their game programs."

Better Offseason Logic: "Visual Concepts says the CPU-controlled teams in NBA 2K15 have improved logic this year when managing their roster balance. Teams should better recognize that they don't need to spend on another point guard if their team already has a viable starter and will know to use their resources elsewhere."

Ronnie2K and LD2K hosted another Twitch stream last night (you can watch the archive here), as they discussed the new badge system and some other things mixed in. The team has decided to go away from Signature Skills.

LD2K pointed out quite a few details from the stream on Twitter and we have listed some of them below. A blog will arrive soon with more details.
  • NBA 2K15: 77 total badges. 28 of them are categorized as "personality badges" effecting hot/cold streaks, ambient animations & facial exp's.
  • The rest are categorized as "Skill Badges" which have 3 tiers - Bronze, Silver, Gold.
  • These are categorized as outside scoring, inside scoring, athleticism, playmaking, and rebounding.
  • NBA players can have up to 70 badges and skill badges are not limited to one tier. LeBron currently has the most with 47 total badges.
  • In MyCAREER, badges are EARNED based on your play, how you respond to situations in scenes and how good your regular attributes are.
  • NBA Players can't have all 77 badges because some conflict (ie: a player can't have both ALPHA Dog and BETA Dog).
  • 6,000 new animations, deep defensive settings, new shot system & streamlined gameplay w/ legacy issues addressed...
  • Defense is also categorized in the skill badges.
  • This will highlight role players better than ever! Paired with the game play improvements &ratings system, badges are phenomenal in NBA 2K15
  • The crowd will erupt during big plays and 4th quarter games are absolutely bananas. One of my fav. thing about NBA 2K15. Adrenaline rush!
  • The crowd will empty out of the arena during blowouts... Empty seats means you need to step your game up!
They have plans to release something that will break the Internet later today.

Hmm, jeder startet also undrafted. Mag ja MyCareer mit Storyline, aber mal sehen, hatte gehofft man kann aus mehreren Szenarien wählen. Aber immerhin kommt man so schneller in die Free Agency
