Video game giant Electronic Arts said Tuesday that it has struck an "extensive and exclusive creative collaboration" with Katy Perry for its game franchise The Sims.

Katy Perry Wins Five People's Choice Awards Including Fave Guest Star for 'How I Met Your Mother'Katy Perry Breaks Silence on Divorce From Russell BrandIn collaboration with the singer, The Sims Studio plans to develop multiple games within the life simulation franchise that will feature special Perry-themed content and virtual goods, including clothing, hairstyles, furniture and props. The partnership will kick off with a special Collector's Edition for The Sims 3 Showtime, launching in March. Perry will also be featured in advertising and marketing campaigns for the brand.

Financial terms of the relationship weren't disclosed.

"Today marks the start of the most integrated and exciting collaboration with any artist in the history of The Sims," said Steve Schnur, worldwide executive of Music for EA. "Katy Perry has been a fan of The Sims for several years, and her Simlish recording of her hit Hot and Cold featured in The Sims 2 series quickly became the most popular Simlish music video to date…No performer could better represent the humor and fun of The Sims brand."

Said Perry: "I love how you're able to play out different stories through your Sims characters - giving them different careers and watching them succeed. It's cool to see the Sims' stage performances in The Sims 3 Showtime decked out just like my California Dreams Tour - even my cotton candy video screens are in there! I always like to think of myself as a cartoon, and now I'm a Sim!"

Aha, war also doch eine neue Single! Habe gestern die Wiederholung der Grammys gesehen und da nur das Ende ihres Auftritts aufgeschnappt. Da dachte ich schon "Wasn das fürn Lied? Kenn ich gar nicht...".

Wird wahrscheinlich einer der vier neuen Songs sein, die Katy auf der Teenage Dream Special Edition im März veröffentlicht.

Auf dem roten Teppich sah sie übrigens auch wieder hammer aus. :huldig: Wie gemalt ...

Der Auftritt war vom Gesang her aber eher auf Unser Star für Baku Niveau. :ugly:

Und ich hatte manchmal das Gefühl ihr Outfit brachte einen leichten.. naja, im Schritt wurde es halt ziemlich eng. :D

Außerdem gibt es als Zugabe drei brandneue Songs sowie alternative Versionen von “E.T” featuring Kanye West, “Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.)” featuring Missy Elliott und eine bewegende Akustikfassung von “The One That Got Away”, produziert von Jon Brion. Keine dieser neuen Varianten war bis jetzt auf einem physischen Tonträger zu bekommen. Zusätzlich dazu gibt es auf The Complete Confection einen 7 Minuten langen Megamix von Tommie Sunshine mit allen bisherigen Nr. 1-Hits zu hören.
