Eurogamer Italy
Playground Games and Microsoft come back to Forza Horizon to offer a new, greatly achieved episode of the Forza Motorsport spin-off. Exploration in France and Italy, variable weather conditions and night & day cycle are spectacular views you should not miss in this new Xbox killer application.

I can’t recommend Forza Horizon 2 hard enough. If I could give it a 6/5 I would, it’s stunning to look at, the controls are tight, the sounds are soothing, and is just all around fun to play; it just hit all my happy spots. I’d have to say that this is my favorite game to date on the Xbox One. Is this worth your hard earned $60, yes it is. Oh my goodness, yes it is.

Forza Horizon 2's foundation is stronger than the underwhelming tracks built on top of it

If you were a fan of the original or its simulator brother, there's no reason to pass up Horizon 2. It's simulation enough to not lose longtime fans, while easing the realistic driving just enough to allow new players to jump in and not feel like the car physics are working against them the whole time.
9.5

IGN

It's a racer informed by many others but, when it comes to open-world racing games, Forza Horizon 2 is best-in-class.

It's going to be a busy season for racing games, with sim hopeful Project Cars, ambitious online "CarPG" The Crew and the social score-attack of DriveClub all jostling for attention. Horizon 2 sets an intimidatingly high bar for those games to meet on every front, but in one aspect it seems unbeatable. I can't imagine any of them are going to feel this happy.

'Forza Horizon 2 instead relies on courses built on top of its open world, and they can't compete. There's no equivalent to, say, Laguna Seca, a punishing, rewarding, fickle track that demands so much and provides such a deep sense of satisfaction for mastering its intricacies. Instead, there are two kinds of races, and two kinds of tracks — circuits, which are lapped races, and point-to-point sprints, which in turn are on streets, off-road, or a combination of both.
These start out fun, because winning against the forces of chaos feels like, well, triumph. Against evil, even. But after the 15th race, that chaos doesn't seem so chaotic. There's not much nuance to Horizon 2's track design.'

bei Polygon weiß man irgendwie nie, was man davon halten soll.
