PLAYSTATION VITA
Wegen Nachfrage: Lieferengpass in den USA

Demnach sei die Nachfrage in mehreren Läden so groß, dass die PlayStation Vita vielerorts nicht mehr auf Lager ist. Vor allen Dingen das Bundle mit Borderlands 2, das im Mai veröffentlicht worden war, erfreut sich größter Beliebtheit und ist in den USA derzeit nicht zu kriegen.

Auch Sony selbst hat sich diesbezüglich bereits geäußert und bestätigt, dass eine erhöhte Nachfrage nach dem Produkt derzeit für den Lieferengpass verantwortlich ist. Auch in Japan erfreue sich die Vita derzeit größerer Beliebtheit.

June 2014 NPD: Hardware sales for all platforms

Data from this month’s NPD report has leaked, revealing US hardware sales for all platforms during the month of June.

The PlayStation 4 beat out all systems with 269,000 units sold. Xbox One came in second place having sold 197,000 units.

Interessant, dass die PS4 sich trotz Kinect-Entbundleung so deutlich vorne halten kann.

Interessanter aber, dass Sony bei 15.000 Einheiten der Vita davon spricht, dass man der Nachfrage kaum gerecht werden könne... :ugly:
 
Xbox One and Xbox 360 Ship 1.1 Million Combined in Q4; Xbox Revenue Up 14%

Microsoft just revealed its financial results for the fourth quarter of Fiscal Year 2014 (From April 1st to June 30th), and with them we learn the performance of the Xbox hardware segment.

In the latest quarter Xbox One and Xbox 360 shipped 1.1 million units combined, contributing to increase the whole Xbox platform revenue by $104 million or 14%. The increase was mainly due to strengthened revenue of console hardware.
The whole Computing and Gaming Hardware revenue increased by $274 million (23%), driven by solid revenue for the Xbox Platform and from Microsoft Surface sales.

Unfortunately no separate numbers have been provided for Xbox One and Xbox 360, but according to the previous numbers provided, that counted five million units shipped by the end of March, it’s quite unlikely that the Xbox One surpassed 6 million shipments just yet.
