Konami gab heute die Neuveröffentlichung des ersten Silent Hill Spiels bekannt: Am 26. Oktober erscheint Silent Hill via PlayStation Network zum Preis von Euro 6,99 für PlayStation 3.

Im ersten Quartal 2012 sorgt das komplett neu entwickelte Silent Hill Downpour für Gänsehaut, Anfang 2012 erscheinen mit der Silent Hill HD Collection die gefeierten Titel Silent Hill 2 und Silent Hill 3 in aufgebohrter Version – und jetzt gibt Konami allen Fans von atmosphärisch dichtem Grusel die Chance nachzuerleben, wie der Horror in dem beschaulichen Städtchen einst mit dem ersten Silent Hill begann.

Silent Hill erschien 1999 für PlayStation und feierte riesige Erfolge aufgrund seiner dramatischen, wendungsreichen Story, der unvergleichlich furchterregenden Atmosphäre und dem Gameplay, das Spieler sogleich in seinen Bann zog. In Silent Hill finden sich die Spieler in Gestalt der Hauptfigur Harry Mason in der namensgebenden Stadt wieder und begeben sich auf die Suche nach Masons adoptierter Tochter. Sie durchwandern die nebelverhangenen Straßen, treffen auf seltsame Kreaturen, durchleben nervenzerfetzende Situationen und erleben eine Atmosphäre, die das Genre der Horror-Spiele einst revolutionierte.

Was mir nach wenigen Wochen PS3 schon gehörig auf den Sack geht:

1. Die teils massive Releaseverzögerung im europäischen Store.

2. Dass ich nach 10 Minuten Download in durchwachsener Geschwindigkeit noch einmal bis zu 5 Minuten das Spiel INSTALLIEREN muss. :fp:

@ Nasreddin

US- und EU-Stores laufen in aller Regel synchron. Es gibt aber immer wieder (prominente) Ausnahmen, leider.

Ich habe mich im Falle von Daytona USA an Sony gewandt, wie es sein kann, dass das Spiel im US-Store verfügbar sei, es auf der 360 sogar in EU zu haben sei, nur nicht für PS3 in EU.

Die Antwort war, dass dies die Entscheidung von SEGA gewesen sei.

Also habe ich mich an SEGA gewandt. Deren Aussage war nur, dass jeder Markt seinen eigenen Release-Termin bekommt, im Falle von Daytona USA habe man sich bei SEGA Europe für einen späteren Termin für PS3 entschieden. Warum auch immer...

SEGA ist da eh Spezialist drin. SEGA Rally und After Burner kamen in EU ebenfalls später als im Rest der Welt.

Allerdings kann es sein, dass es doch früher als Ende November kommt.
