Das gefällt Zuckerberg: Oculus
Oculus Rift hat seit seiner Enthüllung die Fantasien vieler Videospieler in extremen Maßen beflügelt, die Zukunft der Videospiele solle die Brille sein die Virtual Reality nahezu in Perfektion anbieten will. Sony zeigte mit seiner Enthüllung von Project Morpheus vor kurzem ebenso das sie dem Thema Virtual Reality nicht abgeneigt sind und nach Aussagen von führenden Sony-Mitarbeitern dort deutliche Investitionen planen.
Wie nun bekannt wird hat Facebook Oculus VR, Inc., die Firma die hinter Oculus Rift steht, für geschätzte 2.000.000.000$ gekauft, wovon 400.000.000$ in bar bezahlt werden wärend der Rest Anteile an Facebook seien. Facebook-Gründer Mark Zuckerberg sagte dazu:
"Mobile is the platform of today, and now we're also getting ready for the platforms of tomorrow. Oculus has the chance to create the most social platform ever, and change the way we work, play and communicate."
