Das stimmt schon. Aber gute Pedale machen tatsächlich mehr aus als ein gutes Lenkrad. Ich habe die Bremse früher total unterschätzt aber in diesem Racing Buch stand ja auch dass die Bremse den grössten Anteil an der Geschwindigkeit des Fahrzeugs hat und es stimmt. Ausserdem habe ich ja kein Timing, Gefühl etc, also brauche ich jede Hilfe die ich bekommen kann.
Den Ausschlag warum ich die HE Pedale fast bestellt habe war dieser Bericht. Er hatte ja auch die Pedale, die ich jetzt habe.

I have the HE Pro Pedals and they are one of the best upgrades I ever got. I upgraded from Fanatect CSR Elite pedals and the difference was quite noticeable. All 3 pedals offer much better resistance and longer travel, making it easier to be precise with your inputs. Everything can be calibrated to just where you want it, so if the spring is too stiff or too soft for you, you can change the position right up and improve in the direction you like. I can't really praise these pedals enough, as they just feel nice and premium.
The throttle is probably the simplest pedal, but the combination of the spring stiffness and the travel length really helps me put down the power gradually on the more overpowered road cars on corner exit. I too run the brake pedal with the white rubber bands and I utilize all of its travel. I could beef it up, but there is really no reason to. With the white rubbers it's the perfect resistance for me. It has that little top deadzone before it starts biting and then its just stiffens up very progressively, making it possible to be precise with brake pressure based on feel, rather than pedal travel. Of course, being used to load-cell systems already, this comes as no news to you, Fanapryde. I don't know how the v3's stack up against my old CSR Elites, but the Elites felt like a lot of pedal travel being a virtual deadzone in terms of resistance, and the last 10-15% of the pedal travel being where all the stiffness went, which wasn't very good as it made precision an issue. The clutch, which I figure is the one you care most about, is very nice and has a very natural feel. You can feel the transition phase (biting point) quite well, when you "listen" for it and you can calibrate the pedals through DIView to really simulate the clutch behaviour, with quite a bit of deadzone before the biting point and after. You can also set the center of the axis, basically allowing you to make the pedal travel behave non-linearly, if you so wish. It's quite good, gives you all the tools you need, really. Speaking from experience however, it hasn't really made me faster or better, because you only really need to pay attention to the biting point when it comes to the starts, and against the AI at 90-95% I have easily gotten away with just dumping the clutch so far. I think you have everything you need to set it up real nicely, though, so you can really feel when you are slipping the clutch to make that smooth getaway. I haven't had the patience to get it done; too much tinkering for the ROI =).
Of course, whether you like the feel of the set in the end depends on what car and pedal set you wish to compare to... recently I tried a bunch of used cars because I was hunting for one to buy and I got to experience just how different the pedal controls felt on each car. There can really be an abyss between how they feel and behave, to the point where I would say these pedals don't really feel like any of the cars I have tried. They definitely - DEFINITELY - come closer than any other pedal set I have tried so far (G25, Fanatec 911 pedals, CSR Elite, v2's at a friend's) but they don't feel anything like the pedals of a road car. They feel racier than that for sure, sturdier, heavier, with more resistance. They feel great. I just can't speak for how realistic they are in the context of race cars, as I have never been in one. Compared to standard road cars? Closer than the rest, but not quite there.
Final thoughts: In a sim driving/racing context, these pedals made me faster and a better, more precise driver. It is easier to control the car reliably with these pedals than any other set I have tried. They give me confidence because of this and allow me to push further. I drive them with light trainers on, wouldn't drive them in socks. I heard people complain they are too beefy for them and they have difficulty operating the sets (for prolonged periods, maybe?). I don't have this problem. I work out and could well handle the Ultimate set, if my wallet could handle them too, but to me, with my modest musculature, the Pro set is just right and very comfortable. I have done 3-hour stints with Jussi before, no problem.
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Ich bleibe jetzt mal bei iRacing. Ich bin da schon zu lange drin. Ausserdem macht es mir nach wie vor richtig Spass. Gestern hatte ich ein richtig geiles Duell auf der Nordschleife mit einem Fahrer der 1000 iRating mehr hatte als ich. 2 Runden habe ich mich gewehrt bis er mich am Schwedenkreuz überholen konnte weil sein Ferrari auf der Geraden schneller war und dann wirft er sein Auto weg. Ich bin dann auch stehengeblieben um zu sehen ob wir unser Rennen nicht weiterführen können, aber er hat sich dann zur Box ziehen lassen.

Freue mich wie blöd darauf.
Habe aber die Kupplung ausgelassen, obwohl die ziemlich gut sein sollen, aber ich kann damit noch nicht fahren. Aber die kann man für moderate 120€ nachbestellen.Entweder ich bin so ein fleissiger Fahrer oder die Qualität des Fanatec Alcantara ist schlecht. Es verliert deutlich an Farbe, wo es gehalten wird und so alt ist das Lenkrad ja nicht. Beim Wiederverkauf wird man da Probleme kriegen.
Ist es besser wenn man mit Handschuhen fährt?

@Azrael1965 Fahre auch mit Handschuhen. Einerseits wegen Grip (ohne fühle ich mich mittlerweile nackt ) und andererseits wegen den Abnutzungserscheinungen am Lenkrad.
Probier mal an einer Stelle warmes Wasser mit einem Schuss Priel. Vorsichtig (!) abwaschen und trocknen lassen.

Jetzt läuft ja gerade das Indy 500.
Da sieht man sehr gut, wie die Fahrer die Hände vom Lenkrad nehmen, bevor der Einschlag in die Mauer erfolgt.
Das musst du beim DD auch üben.
Ist realistisch und schützt Handgelenk und Daumen.

Danke! Ich habe das Reinigen noch nicht probiert.
Ich war die letzten Tage mit Detroit: Become Human beschäftigt.
Die fühlen sich schon ziemlich hochwertig an. Mal sehen ob ich in der Nacht den Aufbau bewältige und die irgendwie auf der Playseat Challenge befestigen kann.
Ein wenig bereue ich die Kupplung nicht gleich mitbestellt zu haben.

Das einzige, was passieren kann, ist, dass der Klappstuhl während @Azrael1965 drin sitzt und am Wheel kurbelt und auf die Bremse tritt, einfach zusammenklappt.
Irgendwie ist das wie wenn man in nen Dacia nen fetten V8 und Rennbremsen reinbaut.

Ich habe es zu mittag schon ein wenig aufgebaut. Ich denke es wird sich eine gute Lösung für die Pedale finden lassen. Sie sind wirklich sehr flexibel. Man kann fast alles modifizieren.
