We would love for you, our #BestCommunityEver, to join the fun festivities by delivering yummy Halloween Treats for everyone across all trucking territories - a community goal of 666,000 deliveries in total in fact! We've a terrific looking Halloween themed trailer that will carry your special event cargo...


...and this is also a great chance for you to create a matching paint job with your truck for that extra element of fun and immersion, especially if you happen to own the Halloween Paint Jobs Pack DLC for either ETS2 or ATS.

Your #HappyHauloween has another surprise waiting for you in the form of a new Desktop Background Theme this year. It's something new, a nice short term change of scene, that we have created for the duration of the event to help you get more into the Halloween spirit - we hope you like it!




Your personal goal requires 13 deliveries of Halloween Treats cargo, and we've got some really superb rewards on offer, including a World of Trucks Achievement. All jobs for the event will be 100Km each (62.1 mile) or more, and don't forget to check out the rules.

Rules

Using External Contracts, with a World of Trucks-connected profile in Euro Truck Simulator 2, American Truck Simulator or both, the community goal is to achieve 666,000 deliveries of Halloween Treats cargo, from any city in any trucking territory.

When a player completes 13 deliveries of Halloween Treats cargo, across any trucking territories in either game, it will complete their personal goal.

Rewards:

• Personal: Players that complete 13 or more deliveries of Halloween Treats cargo, will gain a unique World of Trucks Achievement, as well as a very cute, but spooky, Swinging Bat dashboard toy as a Steam inventory item for Euro Truck Simulator 2 and American Truck Simulator.

• Community: When the community goal of achieving 666,000 deliveries of Halloween Treats cargo from any city is met and if the player has also achieved their personal goal then, they will receive a scary, but happy, Pumpkin Head hanging toy as a Steam inventory item for their cabin.

Note: In order to qualify for any community reward, you must complete at least your personal goal in Euro Truck Simulator 2, American Truck Simulator or both. Each reward will be a Steam inventory item for both Euro Truck Simulator 2 and American Truck Simulator. Once completed, claim your reward in the Events page on your World of Trucks profile.

The event will be concluded on Sunday the 6th of November at 23:59 UTC.

This is going to be a really fun event, held across both of our games, American Truck Simulator and Euro Truck Simulator 2, with deliveries counted in both games, so why not share this experience across both sides of the Atlantic this year using the hashtag #HappyHauloween on our ATS / ETS2 Facebook pages, Twitter, and Instagram profiles, we can't wait for your pics!

Texas - Release Date Announcement + Video Trailer Reveal

We know you have all been waiting for this moment and now, with the Texas DLC slowly approaching the finish line, we can officially announce the release date for this so far biggest map addition to American Truck Simulator we ever created.

Texas is due to be released on November 15th, 2022

Even though this announcement itself brought up your hype meter to the maximum limit, we are afraid it’s going to break completely as we have also prepared a wonderful trailer as well. So, check out this showcase of natural beauty and industrial areas arriving in the map expansion!


As always, we will host a special release live stream on our Twitch channel on the day of the release. You can look forward to special guests, giveaways, and the possibility of some special surprises, along with the famous push of the big red button at the end of the stream. You definitely don’t want to miss this one!


And a little side-note to our friendly content creators - in the coming days we will be sending out some Early Access keys so make sure to keep an eye out on your mail inbox. If you will be selected, we hope your faithful viewers will enjoy the sneak peek into what they can expect from this DLC once they get their hands on it. American Truck Simulator - 1.46 Update

We are happy to announce that the 1.46 update for American Truck Simulator has been released and is now available on Steam. This update features bug fixes, changes and new content, which are featured below, so we recommend taking a read!


We'd like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who participated, provided their feedback, and made bug reports during the 1.46 Open Beta. Your valuable input helped us make tweaks, changes and smash some bugs we may have missed the first time around. We hope you can now begin to fully enjoy the fruit of your work.



Gallery

There’s a brand new feature for both American Truck Simulator and Euro Truck Simulator 2. It is something that we’ve been working on for quite a while. Gallery is a new feature that contains a management solution for all images, photo trophies, and discovered viewpoints, while maintaining all legacy functionality of the Screenshot Manager.


Perhaps the most intriguing part awaits you with the addition of "Photo Trophies". You will be able to find these locations thanks to new map icons and capture them via Photo Mode. We have developed a new tracking system that will pop up whenever your camera will face the landmark using the mode.


Within Gallery you will also find Viewpoints, which not only offers a way for the player to be guided towards any undiscovered viewpoints but also serves as a platform for reviewing those which have already been discovered and played, allowing the player to view them again.


Finally, Gallery offers a fresh clean layout for previewing, sorting, and uploading your images to your World of Trucks Gallery and Profile truck slots. There's so many more little other features to explore and find in the Gallery, which we wrote a dedicated blogpost about recently!

Company Browser

An exciting new feature for both American Truck Simulator and Euro Truck Simulator 2 in the 1.46 update is the Company Browser. This new in-game browser allows players to search for specific types of companies, cargoes and/or trailer types. This means that if you are waiting for any of the examples mentioned in the previous sentence, you can easily check if such a thing even exists within the game!





So, if you are curious about which cargo you can theoretically haul for example between Bellingham and Nogales or even Eureka to Burlington, the company browser will achieve just that!

Ownable Cisterns - Chemical Trailers

Today we are happy to share with you the next addition to our ownable cistern collection, Chemical Trailers!



These tankers are designed to transport a variety of chemicals including acidic, toxic, or corrosive liquid products. These cargo types include Hydrochloric Acid, Sulfuric Acid, Pesticides, Mercuric Chloride and more, so careful driving is highly recommended.



The ATS Cistern include 3 chassis types (43ft 2 axle, 48ft 3 axle and 53ft, 4 axle) which are single chain. It will also come 2 body types (chrome or paintable) and with a variety of accessories and customizations which include:

• Chassis type
• Paintjobs (base and DLC)
• Markers
• Rear bumpers
• Mudflaps
• and other accessories such as (hoses, tool boxes, extinguishers etc

We are excited to see you hauling these new chemical trailers in your company and how you will customize them!

US-20

We are happy to share that the US-20, located between Idaho and Montana will be arriving as a free update for owners of the DLCs. This highway has been highly requested by you, our #BestCommunityEver, since Montana's release.




This important connection allows drivers to drive between Idaho Falls, ID, and the settlement of West Yellowstone in Montana. West Yellowstone is also home to a tourist center, located just outside the west gate to the Yellowstone Natl. Park. This also gives players traveling from Idaho state an option to travel to the Yellowstone National Park as well as connect with US-191 which is a popular trucking route in the area.






We hope you enjoy exploring this new road along with the beautiful views that come along with it. And who knows, maybe you will find a new achievement over there as well.

Custom City Intros

Recently, we introduced a new experimental feature in ETS2 and ATS - the custom city introductions. Thanks to the positive feedback that we have seen from the community, we are glad to let you know that we have expanded this feature!




These special cutscenes appear when a player selects a starting city when creating a new profile and, as you may know, they are currently available only for the cities of Austria and the city of Hanover in Euro Truck Simulator 2. However, this feature can now be found in the world of American Truck Simulator also!

New players will have the opportunity to watch one of these awesome cutscenes when selecting their first city that has a garage in Colorado and Wyoming map expansions.

Idaho Viewpoints Redesign

We went back and updated the viewpoints of Idaho DLC to better reflect our current standard of their length, pace and camera movement. They are now generally more polished and on par in terms of quality with their more modern siblings from newer map expansions.




Driveshaft Torque

We are always doing our best to make the trucking experience within our games as realistic as possible, and that is exactly the reason why this new addition, which can be turned on in the settings, is arriving into the world of ATS. This feature simulates the spinning of the chassis during acceleration, which results in a slight lift of the front left wheel. This effect is more visible on American trucks due to them being longer.

Wild West Paint Jobs Pack DLC

One dry sunny day, an object appears on the horizon. Even from the edge of town, it remains blurred, but slowly and surely, it draws nearer. You hear the distant humming of an engine, which for some reason slowly builds tension in the air as it closes in. The approaching driver’s hand hovers over the steering wheel for a second before taking the last turn into the main street, providing a clear view for all. You look on, riveted to your spot, and the truck you see is decked out in a paint job that you’ve never seen before.

In celebration of the release of our Texas DLC for American Truck Simulator, and in the honor of the classic Wild West and Spaghetti Western movies, we are going to introduce a brand new paint jobs pack tomorrow along with the Texas map expansion release. These new additions are inspired by the legends, mythical figures, and the unique atmosphere of the genre, which means it will be a perfect fit while driving across the latest map expansion and vast prairies of the US.

Western Star® 5700XE is now Available for American Truck Simulator

American Truck Simulator is no stranger to the Western Star® brand. With 2 of their newest trucks, the 49X and 57X, already available in-game, today we are excited to announce the arrival of a legend. Introducing the Western Star® 5700XE, which is now available at your Western Star® Trucks dealership in American Truck Simulator!

Combining tough performance, modern technology and the traditional look of a classic truck, Western Star® didn’t overlook a single detail when creating this truck; with advanced engineering to improve efficiency and aerodynamics. XE – which stands for extreme efficiency – summarizes exactly what this truck is all about.



Ever since we saw this truck at the Mid-America Trucking show in 2016, we knew we had to have it in the game! We are very thankful to the team at Western Star® in helping us bring this legend to the virtual roads of ATS, especially when it meant digging through some archives to find the information we needed for its development.



The Western Star® 5700XE arrives with a select choice of configurations and customizations. This includes a day cab, the 54" High Roof Stratosphere and the 82" Ultra High Roof Stratosphere. Chassis available are short, medium and long versions in 6x2 and 6x4. Engines included are exclusively Detroit Diesel, which offers the options of DD13, DD15 and DD16 up to 600HP. Transmission options include the Detroit DT12 automated manual as well as Eatons.





There are lots of customizations available for this truck too, including plenty of Chrome parts, aero fairings, interior trim options and so much more! You may even find a big screen-inspired paint job included. Be sure to check them all out. We look forward to seeing how you customize your 5700XE for the road.

100-year Anniversary of Kenworth Trucks

Since 1923, The Kenworth Truck Company has been manufacturing trucks, the first of which was built in Renton, Seattle. Today, Kenworth has become one of the leading manufacturers of heavy-duty trucks in North America, and this year, they are celebrating their 100-year anniversary!


With an excellent heritage in quality, innovation and technology, Kenworth has manufactured more than half a million trucks over the decades. To celebrate this amazing milestone, Kenworth Trucks has revealed a special anniversary edition of their legendary W900, which we are also proud to be able to bring to you in American Truck Simulator!

The new special Anniversary Edition of the Kenworth W900 includes:

• New long 6x4 chassis painted in red with side markers
• New exhaust pipes engraved with the number '100'
• New side hood badge logo
• New sleeper side badge with Kenworth 100 lettering
• New fully painted plate below doors
• New paintjob for 86 inch sleeper
• New interior version with black dashboard & with red 'Kenworth 100' logo
• New interior dashboard trim option with metallic look
• New leather seats and bench

But that isn't all. Whilst working on this upcoming addition, we thought it would be the perfect opportunity to give one of our first licensed vehicles in American Truck Simulator a little bit of love in the form of a remodel. We'd like to express our gratitude to PACCAR and Kenworth for their continuous support and partnership since the launch of ATS back in 2016. We look forward to what the road brings for both of us ahead!

So what does this remodel include? As we teased during our Christmas live stream, a special project has been in the works for the Kenworth W900; Which includes new options, parts and accessories and more! We really wanted to bring this vehicle up to our current quality standards with this project.



Starting with cabins, we've added the option to upgrade to the 86" studio sleeper, the largest option yet! All our sleeper options now also include detachable roof and side deflectors. There is also a new customisation point for the studio sleeper side badge. We have also redesigned and added several new chassis options too. There are now 3 chassis sizes, short for the daycab, midsized for the sleeper 72" and long for the studio sleeper 86". Every size comes with 5 versions (6x2, 8x4 liftable, 6x4, 8x4 liftable and 8x6). Every model now reflects if the axle is liftable or drivable & comes with lots of little details including warning stickers and cables.




On top of all that, the fuel tanks are now fully separated and updated to their newer versions which include DEF tanks. This means you will now be able to choose your tank size independently. We have also added an array of accessories including several different doorsteps and door handles, handrails and hood logos.




The cabin and interior were also completely remodelled with great attention to detail, including the colour pallete! This update will offer three cabin trim options, Splendor Slate Gray, Diamond Slate Gray and Diamond Black. There is also a new interior design with a bench for the 86" studio sleeper. Additionally, the front seats now offer the option of being trimmed in a different material from the rest of the cabin; which come in leather and cloth options. Dashboard trims are also available in wood or black plastic.

Along with all these updates, changes & more, the W900 remodel also includes:

• A new front bumper
• A new modern rearbumper
• New modern rear mudflaps
• New modern rear mudguards
• New modern front mudflaps
• New window rubber seals with chrome trim
• New LED hood blinkers

As you can imagine, this was quite an extensive amount of work for our team, who worked hard to complete such a big project in-time. We hope that you enjoy the vast number of updates and love that have been put into this update; which did not come without its challenges.
