What I enjoyed most about my time with The Cursed Crusade was that it's not a button-masher. You could certainly press the attack buttons wantonly as you approach an enemy, but it won't work out well for you. Instead, you have to strike more strategically, using simplistic fighting game-like moves to combo your enemies into oblivion. You'll also have to pay careful attention to defending, in which you're required to defend on cue, and not just hold down a button to place your shield before you. Your weapons, as well as enemy weapons and armor have breaking points, so you'll also have to keep an eye on your equipment as you try to whittle down the integrity of your enemies' in order to finally deal some damage. The controls immediately felt typical of third-person action games, making the game easy to pick up and play. There were a variety of swords and maces for us to pick up from fallen enemies, and because weapons degraded with use, it was in our best interest to pick up new ones from time to time. (A visual indication of a weapon's quality made it easy to quickly determine whether that weapon was better than our current one.) You have total freedom to configure the weapons you wield. You can equip yourself with a sword and a shield, a sword and a mace, two maces, or any other combination of weapons you find. Different configurations allow for different attacks. One of our favorite moves had Denz impale a foe on his sword and take advantage of this by whacking the impaled enemy with his mace a few times.[...]
The Cursed Crusade has the potential to be a satisfying action adventure that makes good use of a tumultuous time in history. (mehr...)

As it takes a lot of cues from Demon's Souls, The Cursed Crusade isn't exactly easy. We died on several different occasions in our demo, and our co-op partner had to struggle his way over to us for a revival. But even being near-dead doesn't score you a reprieve. Death literally bears down on you, and you have to make sure he doesn't get to you before your buddy does. It's an interesting and challenging take on the revival system that's become so pervasive in co-op titles since the original Gears of War. (mehr...)

Also wenn das mal kein Knights of the Temple Klon ist, dann weiß ich auch nicht mehr. :ugly:

Koop-Modus statt Open-World
