The game, announced back in March, is penned by long-time Final Fantasy writer, Kazushige Nojima, and is about a group of freedom fighters. Farel, the game’s protagonist, is next in line to lead the people of light against an all controlling church. He is the only person who has a gold Sol and uses a one handed sword as his Sol Arm.
Zufällig darüber gestolpert und sieht schon irgendwie sehr nice aus, nur ob es irgendwann auch Übersee erscheinen wird, ist fraglich...

siliconera.com schrieb:As expected, Imageepoch discussed their next RPG, Sol Trigger, during their NicoNico presentation today, and Game Jouhou and Famitsu.com have details. CEO, Ryoei Mikage, says that the game will feature preposterously extravagant voice work, and that it is Imageepoch’s highest budget game to date with the most development staff. Curiously, Mikage wouldn’t say how long Sol Trigger has been in development, but that it’s been worked on for a considerable amount of time.
One of the unique mechanics of Sol Trigger is that you can continue to fight even after your HP has been depleted. Instead of HP, you’ll start to lose your “Sol,” which is described as the power of the soul. People with this power are called “People of the Light”. The primary use of Sol appears to be spending it to use skills during battle. Using different kinds of weapons unlocks different skills as you play the game.
There’s even a special kamikaze attack that uses up all your Sol and kills you, and players will also be able to enter a double-speed mode with the press of a single button.
Sol Trigger’s Battle System Has Characters Sacrifice Their "Sol" To Power Up An Attacks
If you want to use a skill in battle you have to give up some "Sol" and the amount of Sol you use changes the level of the attack. It’s possible to infuse so much Sol in one strike that your character is left in a near-fatal state.
Instead of using skills you can use Sol-free weapons. Sol Trigger has a weapon proficiency stat that increases when you practice with the same weapon and when this parameter increases you can learn new skills.
Sol Trigger will be released in Japan on October 4th. A demo for the game will be available on the PlayStation Store in July. The game will have five pre-order bonuses: a drama CD with an original story, an accompanying illustration booklet, a special wide-sized jacket to hold CDs, a booklet with secret passwords, and a limited edition soundtrack titled “Trigger of Soul”.
Wird als das letzte EPIC-RPG für die PSP gehyped.
