Digital Reality and Grasshopper Manufacture announce co-development partnership
First jointly-developed title ‘Sine Mora’ will be available on PSN and XBLA; other titles to follow

Grasshopper Manufacture, Inc. (GhM), and Digital Reality (DR) are proud to announce their partnership for co-developing a range of games. Their first title will be an innovative shooter called ‘Sine Mora’, which mixes traditional side-scrolling gameplay with unique time manipulation mechanics.

Both companies are aiming with this alliance to provide new, innovative titles for the online gaming market. “We think we can strongly benefit from having an ally such as Digital Reality in the digital publishing realm, who can provide long term online publishing services to its partners, and to gamers.” said Suda 51, CEO of Grasshopper Manufacture, Inc. Andras Peller, CEO of Digital Reality agreed;“The partnership with GhM is an important step for Digital Reality. This collaboration with a Japanese top-tier developer pursues the development of our publishing line-up, whilst offering creative freedom to developers who want to make high value titles for online distribution.”

As the first step of this collaboration, Grasshopper Manufacture, Inc. and Digital Reality announced today at gamescom the co-development of Sine Mora for PSN and XBLA. Sine Mora takes advantage of the newest in 3D display technology to deliver an horizontal side-scrolling shooter unlike any other, with a unique twist on time manipulation.

Further titles and further information will be announced in the coming months.

Microsoft Studios is proud to announce that Sine Mora is coming exclusively to XBLA!

Grasshopper Manufacture Inc. and Digital Reality have teamed up to create a stunning Shmup, and we’re not just talking about the beautiful graphics. Obviously, you’ll be delighted by the stean punk look-and-feel, but the team has gone further, refreshing the whole Shmup genre with an innovative time-manipulation mechanic.
There are more than 60 combinations of planes, characters and time-manipulation devices to complete each beautifully-crafted stage, as well as a scaling difficulty function.
To us though, the feature that transforms Sine Mora from video game to video game masterpiece is the beautiful score written by Akira Yamaoka, acclaimed for his works on the Silent Hill series.

Nachdem das Shoot 'em Up Sine Mora von Grasshopper Manufacture (Killer 7, Shadows of the Damned) zunächst für PSN (PS3) und Xbox Live Arcade (Xbox 360) angekündigt wurde, gab der Publisher Digital Reality Mitte Dezember 2011 ein Vertriebsabkommen mit Microsoft und einen Release exklusiv via Xbox Live Arcade bekannt.

Nach der Bekanntgabe der XBLA-Exklusivität haben wir etwas herumgestochert und unsere Quelle direkt bei Digital Reality in Budapest gab uns ziemlich eindeutige Hinweise. So kann GamePire enthüllen, dass Sine Mora nach dem Release für Xbox Live Arcade auch für die PS3 erscheinen wird. Und nicht nur das: Auch für für Sony neuen Handheld PlayStation Vita (ab 22. Februar in Europa erhältlich) soll der Shooter veröffentlicht werden.

Zwar gab unsere Quelle keine offizielle Bestätigung, der Hinweis auf eine PS3- und PlayStation Vita-Version war allerdings unmissverständlich. Wir rechnen also zumindest nach derzeitigem Stand in diesem Jahr auch mit Sine Mora im PlayStation Network. Dennoch kann sich in der Zeit der XBLA-Exklusivität noch einiges ändern und so in Stein gemeiselt ist der PSN-Release daher nicht.
