Phantasy Star Online 2 wird "Free-To-Play" sein

27.09.12 - Sega gibt bekannt, dass Phantasy Star Online 2 als "Free-To-Play" Titel veröffentlicht wird. Der Download der Vita-Version aus dem PlayStation Store soll deshalb kostenlos sein.

Phantasy Star Online 2 wird allerdings nur online und nicht offline spielbar sein. Release: Frühjahr 2013 (Japan)

Phantasy Star Online 2 im Februar als kostenloser Download

21.11.12 - Sega gibt bekannt, dass das Online-Rollenspiel Phantasy Star Online 2 am 28.02.13 in Japan als kostenloser Download erscheinen wird. Ferner ist eine Special Edition geplant.

Die Sonderauflage wird zeitgleich im Fachhandel erhältlich sein und kostet hingegen Yen 5.229:

- Spiel Phantasy Star Online 2

- 8 x Kostüme (zwei für jede Rasse) aus Phantasy Star Portable 2

- Die Waffen Clad Cannon (Launcher), Clad 6 (Rod), Wing Spada (Sword) aus Phantasy Star Portable 2.

Phantasy Star Online 2 Download ist rund 4GB groß

04.12.12 - Die Download Version von Phantasy Star Online 2 wird ungefähr 4GB groß sein. Das bestätigt Produzent Satoshi Sakai von Sega im Gespräch mit 4Gamer.net. Release: 28.02.13 (Japan)

Sega: "Phantasy Star Online 2 weiterhin für westliche Märkte geplant"

04.09.14 - Sega hat weiterhin vor, dass Online-Rollenspiel Phantasy Star Online 2 in Europa und den USA auf den Markt zu bringen. Das teilt Sega via Twitter mit.

Das Spiel ist seit dem 28.02.13 in Japan erhältlich. Im Westen verspätet es sich aber weiterhin, wie Sega schreibt: "Sega arbeitet immer noch daran, Phantasy Star Online 2 im Westen zu veröffentlichen, und wir werden ein Update geben, sobald wir mehr wissen."

BOOM PS4


During a livestream on Nico Nico, Sega announced that a PS4 version of Phantasy Star Online 2 will be released next year in Japan.

On top of the new platform, the publisher will also release a new large expansion, titled Reborn: Episode 4. While there are no details yet on the contents of the expansion, the PS4 version will be playable at Tokyo Game Show 2015 this September.

At the moment there’s still no word about the promised western release of the popular (at least in Asia) MMORPG/online RPG. Sega announced it quite a while ago, and has been silent since.

More information about the PS4 version and the expansion will probably come come at the Phantasy Star Thanksgiving 2016 series of events, that will start at the Makuhari Messe in Chiba on December 23rd, and will be followed by several similar events across Japan.
