We all, you guys especially, know that GRIP is so much more than a racing game - combat is in the game's blood and we wanted to let everybody know - so the first thing you'll notice as you look around our social channels and soon on store listings is that the written title of the game is changing... 'GRIP: Combat Racing' is born!
Last but least in our run up to launch we just announced more details on Carkour for the final release, this will pack a punch with 19 courses including Jobsite which is a massive playground with multiple collectables.
Today, alongside the team at Caged Element, we lifted the hood on our immediate timeline for GRIP: Combat Racing, including game balancing enhancements and all new tracks and modes! We’ll have even more to come next year too >>>

FEBRUARY: TEAM MODES AND NEW TRACKS
- You've asked for it! Team Modes are coming! Hit the arena or the track with your crew and battle it out on the leaderboards!
MARCH: NEW CAR PACKS
- Three new cars are currently in design, along with something special that racers from the 90's will enjoy!
Landing on STEAM April 5th 2019, with console to follow over the next two weeks, this new content takes GRIP’s track count to 27, with players now able to choose how they play, with options such as Team Deathmatch, local split-screen racing, 10-player online tournaments, a single-player campaign and the nine point-to-point challenging Carkour mode!
Anti-gravity racing has just landed in the GRIP universe!
Oh yes, this update brings you 15 formidable new vehicles taken from those that you already know and love and fused them together with anti-gravity technology.
Also in this 1.4.0 update:
- Two brand new race tracks added, Atlas Station and Impact, set off-planet
- Two bangin’ new music tracks: Full Kontakt – Tornado, Xtigma – Overdrive
- Five new community-made car skins added to the Nyvoss Mirage vehicle (winners of the competition)
- Improved race flow, vehicle collision and AI behaviour on various race tracks, including; FIC Outpost, Lit, Transport, Rust, Yuri Industrial, Mindbender, Naptha Valley, Serpent’s Run, Haze, Spin Cycle and Sprawl
- Improved vehicle camera control
- HDR display support
- Many small improvements and fixes to both game and UI
GRIP’s Summer of Combat will include:
- Xbox Gold Free Play Days (July 4th to 7th)
- New Artifex vehicle manufacturer containing 3 new Airblade and Roller vehicles (DLC)
- Two new free Space tracks
- New garage cosmetic packs to further customise your vehicles (DLC)
- New free Orbital Prime ‘Skate Style Park’ arena map
- New retro car DLC pack
- … and to be revealed new car, inspired by an 80’s classic
