https://www.worldoftrucks.com/en

ATS and ETS2 Update 1.34

After the content-loaded updates from previous months, 1.34 is a relatively small maintenance update serving primarily to introduce new content prepared by our vehicle department. The next big things planned need more time in development, and we anticipate 1.35 to be a lot juicier. Still, we believe these new additions will please players of both of our games. The limited scope of this update is also the reason why there wasn't an Open Beta. So what do we have for you?

First and foremost, this update brings a very long awaited truck into Euro Truck Simulator 2 - The Man TGX Euro 6! It comes with 3 cabin and 6 chassis variants, all the way up to the 8x4 and thanks to the unique MAN design, all three cabins are compatible with the heavy-duty chassis!

The road to implementing the new truck into ETS2 was actually very bumpy. Work on this model started several years ago based on limited references we had for the Efficient Line 2 edition. We aimed to release it with all chassis variants but spent over a year chasing various leads and sources to get them right. We are excited to have finally completed it now after obtaining important missing reference blueprints. In the future, it will be complemented by an up to date current production model, The Efficient Line 3.

ATS receives one of the highly demanded additions to the game - buyable log trailers! Our traffic report sources for Oregon shows a large convoy inbound for the wood transport companies, with a high chance of traffic jams on the forest roads, so be careful out there. As an alternative route, we can recommend OR-140, which is now prolonged all the way to Nevada. And if you're still worried about driving in Oregon, we recommend visiting a Tonopah city, which has been completely refreshed.

To enjoy the 1.34 update, make sure to OPT OUT of beta branches and your game will be automatically updated on Steam.

For the legacy non-Steam edition of ETS2, the update should be ready in a few days.

CHANGELOG:

MOD ALERT:
  • As with any update, due to the changes, a number of mods may need some work to catch up!

One Truck Family Event

Let us invite you to join latest World of Trucks event!

The new season of the FIA European Truck Racing Championship (FIA ETRC) is coming. Out in the real world, we plan to be a part of the roadshow again, and we are looking forward to meeting our fans in the flesh again on the racing circuits of the 2019 calendar.

We also want to do something cool in our virtual world. Last year, we asked our community to help us deliver racing components in the "Start Your Engines" event. Thousands of participants passed the event requirements and claimed their rightfully earned rewards.

Today we’re coming back to you with a new task. Let's imagine such a scenario; before the 2019 season, the teams have a long list of places to go, such as shows and public events to show off their fast and agile beasts. They also need to travel between their home bases, testing circuits, workshops, and any other places where preparations prior to the season can take place. These racing trucks aren't road-legal and we’re going to need your help transporting them to the various destinations!

For the duration of the event, we have placed the racing beauties into Euro Truck Simulator 2 as a very special kind of cargo for you, and now they are ready to start their journey. Utilizing a special FIA ETRC trailer carrying the teams' racing trucks, let's show the world that no matter the size, number of axles, engine, type of use or even brand, all trucks can unite when it's needed.

This spirit perfectly aligns with the new #OneTruckFamily campaign initiated by the FIA ETRC to unite all types of truck drivers, regardless if on the race track, on the road or in a virtual environment.

Hop into your truck and set the course to some of the starting destinations listed below. Don't forget to show off your creative screenshots of this event under the #OneTruckFamily hashtag on your Twitter, Instagram or Facebook profiles! Tag FIA ETRC (Twitter, Instagram, Facebook), our official channels and share your participation with us!

Let's take a look at the rules and rewards of this event!

So, Halbzeit!

Teamstandorte:

Prague: Buggyra Racing - Adam Lacko + Oliver Janes
Mannheim: Team Hahn Racing - Jochen Hahn
Stuttgart: Team Schwabentruck - Stephanie Halm
München: Truck Sport Lutz Bernau - Antonio Albacete
Berlin: Reboconort Truck Racing Team - Eduardo Rodrigues
Bremen: SL Trucksport - Sascha Lenz
Köln: Team Reinert Racing - René Reinert
Bratislava: Tankpool 24 Racing - Norbert Kiss
Frankfurt am Main: Don't Touch Racing - André Kursim
Amsterdam: EK Truck Race - Erwin Kleinnagelvoort

ETS2 Teasing

Recently we released a short video showing A Road To Somewhere New... a first real taste of what major map expansion will be arriving next in Euro Truck Simulator 2.

The response we saw from the community was outstanding and many of you started to guess and create speculation of where these new roads are located. Today, we are excited to share a new gallery of more screenshots from these locations.

Which countries can be explored? Where will the roads lead? Only time will tell...

Trailer News Part 2: Euro Truck Simulator 2

As promised, we are back for Part 2 of Trailer News, and this time we will be sharing what we have been working on for ETS2 in 1.35. We are excited to show you many new trailer types and combinations which you will be able to haul in the next update.

Similar to other types of trailers that we already have in-game (such as box and cargo trailers), we are excited to be able to bring you a large variety of container trailers.

Log trailers have also received an update; which will see the inclusion of a large combination of them that vary in both length and size. Logging trailers will also include the variant from Schwarzmüller, which will be available for purchase.

Thanks to recent successful trials in Germany and The Netherlands, you will now be able to use Double Trailers within these countries.

We have also received a large number of requests from our community to have the ability to purchase their own Schwarzmüller trailers. We are happy to announce that they will be available for purchase in the Trailer Dealership in this upcoming update.

You will now also be able to haul an extended Krone Boxliner Trailer which is designed for 40 feet containers.

The possibilities are endless for hauling different types of trailers in 1.35. We can't wait for you to try them for yourself.

New Road Connections

Today we'd like to present another appetizer for the approaching 1.35 update. Players of both American Truck Simulator and Euro Truck Simulator 2 can look forward to some (a lot, actually) new tarmac!

Let's start in America. The newly-added OR-58 will connect the cities of Eugene and Bend, and there's much to look at! For some distance, this road tracks the Salt Creek river, which will lead you to the Odell Lake. There, far behind it in the shroud of fog, you'll see the majestic Diamond peak, the highest mountain in the region, while on the other side lies the Willamette Pass Ski-Resort area. Pity there's no time to lose when one's working, right?

Next comes the final part of the well-known and liked OR-140; you'll finally be able to drive all the way from Medford to Winnemucca! Starting in Klamath Falls, you'll probably notice that the city centre has been remade and enlarged. The new road will take you past the great Upper Klamath Lake then and through the deep woods of Fremont-Winema National Forest farther to Medford, Nevada.

Last but not least, there's the CA-299 offering the option of driving from Redding directly to Canby while passing through the small town of Burney along the way. It's a pretty long drive, which has it all - farmlands, meander climbs, junctions, landmarks, mountains canyons, gorges... you name it!

In addition to the new roads, there are various changes and additions. With the CA-299, Redding has received an extension around the junction between Interstate 5 and CA-299; a new garage and a truck dealer. Farmington (New Mexico) has also gotten a new garage, while Yuma has had 3 new additions; a new garage, a truck dealer and a brand new truck stop.

And there's one more considerable improvement - we keep working hard on improving our road signs to make them more realistic. If you like to navigate the world "the old way" - just turn off the GPS and watch the signs along the road closely - you should have a much easier time in more regions. The sign system in Arizona, along with several truck stops and the US-95 in California, has received a complete overhaul - so old-school trucking should feel way more natural from now on.

Finally, let's look at the old continent! New additions here are part of our continuous effort to improve the vast road network that Europe already has. Let us mention here two new rural roads in France - one for the Vive la France! map expansion, and one for the base game. The first one connects highways A10 and A6, where you can find the beautiful city of Montargis near-by; the second road connects A6 with the N44. Since the rural roads in France have proven to be very popular, we hope you'll like these too.

Not enough you say? Absolutely right! The revelations are far from over, as some region(s) have yet to be unveiled at all! Remember to check our blog and social media, as more info will be coming soon.
