DAF XF Electric Release

We are really excited to introduce a new truck to the world of Euro Truck Simulator 2! Thanks to a great collaboration with DAF Trucks, the DAF XF Electric is joining our electric line-up, and truckers can already drive it through the Quick Jobs section in the game. Let's take a look at this newest addition!
The DAF XF Electric is part of the New Generation DAF models and features the advanced, fully electric PACCAR drive system. In the Quick Jobs section, this truck comes in a 4x2 chassis configuration, equipped with the PACCAR EX-D2 electric motor. Power comes from five battery packs with a combined capacity of 525 kWh.
This model also stands out with its striking white and blue paint scheme, originally designed by DAF Trucks, which gives the electric truck a modern and distinctive appearance.
The interior features an additional rear side window and a folded "cinema" passenger seat, enhancing visibility from the cab and providing greater safety when navigating Europe's narrow streets.
As mentioned in the past, the transition to electric vehicles brings unique challenges within our virtual world. While our team is working hard to develop the necessary infrastructure, traditional fuel stations cannot simply be converted into charging stations without significant modifications.
That's why the DAF XF Electric is currently available only for Quick Jobs, with a maximum range of 350 kilometres per delivery. In case you happen to run out of charge, an emergency recharging service is available for a fee. We believe you'll enjoy the unique experience of driving this state-of-the-art truck, with its impressive acceleration, speed, and quiet, smooth performance on the road. This update will not reset the in-game economy, so it may take some time before a quick job featuring the new electric DAF appears. If you don't see one right away, please be patient and allow some in-game time to pass.

Beyond the veil of our world lies Brackenreach, a mystical realm steeped in legend and guarded by three elemental witches. Now, through shimmering portals appearing across your homeland, you are invited to step into this spellbound valley to cross foggy swamps, brave eerie forests, and wind your way to the ancient Castle Brackenhelm. Help the witches and the villagers this Halloween by braving the haunted marshes to deliver vital Halloween supplies. The realm awaits your courage—and your arrival.
Your personal goal? Complete 15 Halloween deliveries across any trucking territory, including 3 to and 3 from Castle Brackenhelm, more detailed in the rules below.
On top of all this, you’re also encouraged to help spread the spooky and fun Halloween spirit across the rest of the world by delivering festive supplies to and from cities within the homeland. There will even be some enchanted cargo making its way from Brackenreach back to the homeland—perhaps the witches’ and villagers’ way of saying thank you for your help!

Witches of Brackenreach Rules:
Using External Contracts with a World of Trucks-connected profile in Euro Truck Simulator 2, American Truck Simulator, or both, the community goal is to achieve 1,500,000 deliveries of Halloween treats and supplies to or from any city, including the mysterious land of Brackenreach, where your destination will be Castle Brackenhelm.
There are 4 types of cargo that can be delivered in this event:
Your personal goal is to complete 15 Halloween deliveries across any trucking territory, including 3 to and 3 from Castle Brackenhelm, using Euro Truck Simulator 2, American Truck Simulator or both games combined.

- Halloween Costumes
- Halloween Herbs & Spices
- Halloween Crafts
Your bonus goal is to discover the Witch House, hidden within the land of Brackenreach, by driving to it.
Rewards
- Personal: Players who complete the required 15 or more Halloween deliveries will gain a unique World of Trucks Achievement plus an enchanted Witch's Compass cabin item, as a Steam inventory item.
- Community: When the community goal of achieving 1,500,000 Halloween deliveries is met, and if the player has also achieved their personal goal, then they will receive a bewitched Black Cat hanging cabin item, as a Steam inventory item.
- Discovery: When the player discovers the Witch House, hidden within the land of Brackenreach, they will receive a Spooky Horn vehicle accessory as a Steam inventory item.
Brackenreach directions:
A portal to Brackenreach appears once you accept event cargo bound for Castle Brackenhelm. Find it on the map, a spiral icon, and navigate to it. Look for the sparkles with falling autumn leaves!
Leaving Brackenreach with cargo takes you to its destination; without cargo, you’ll be sent to a random city for a new job.
Note: In order to qualify for any community reward, you must complete at least your personal goal in Euro Truck Simulator 2, American Truck Simulator or both. Each reward will be a Steam inventory item for both Euro Truck Simulator 2 and American Truck Simulator. Once completed, claim your reward in the Events page on your World of Trucks profile.
The event will be concluded on Sunday, the 16th of November at 23:59 UTC.

Das diesjährige Halloween Event ist das Schlechteste was mir bisher bei ETS2/ATS untergekommen ist:
Diese kleine Brackenreach Karte ist häßlich (leider nicht Halloween-häßlich), nervig und einfallslos.
Erst muß man den Weg durch einen Mangrovenwald in einem Sumpflabyrinth finden, wobei diese unförmigen Bäume aber die Textur einer Eiche haben und einen größeren Umfang als ein Baobab-Baum haben.
Irgendwann findet man einen von zwei Wegen zur Burg - das einzige Highlight der Karte, riesig und nett anzuschauen.
Wenn die Karte von ein bis drei Moddern gemacht worden wäre, okay - aber von SCS?
Die Weihnachtskarten waren doch immer schön anzuschauen und zu fahren - und Spaß mit dem Schnee.
Die Hexenhütte wurde anscheinend bei Hornbach gekauft und drei Jahre stehengelassen, eine Alternative neben der Serpentinenstrecke durch ein altes Bergwerk ist so schlecht designt, daß ich dreimal steckengeblieben bin und zwei Untergründe (breiter Weg mit großen Steinplatten und eine lange Bohlenbrücke) hatten überhaupt kein Gerüttel.
Da 15 Lieferungen zu machen, ist echt eine Bestrafung, entweder durch eine spiralförmige Tunnelstrecke samt Lava, über eine schlechte Steinbrücke oder über eine üble Serpentinenstrecke samt katastrophaler Holzbrücke - aber zuerst darf man sich bei beiden durch den Sumpfwald quälen.

Allerdings mußt du einen Account bei World of Trucks haben und mit deinem ETS2/ATS Spiel verknüpfen um später freigeschaltete Sachen aus dem Event bei Steam einzulösen.

Wie das mit dem Verknüpfen funktioniert wird hier noch mal in Deutsch erklärt:
Heute hat man doch seinen Rechner dauernd am Internet angeschlossen.
Sobald du ETS2/ATS mit dem World of Trucks Account verbunden hast, gibtst du deine Zugangsdaten auch im Spiel ein und setzt das passende Häkchen und dann sendet das Spiel automatisch deine Fortschritte bei den "Externen Aufträgen" automatisch an den WOT-Server.
Meist gibt es solche Events wenn neuer DLC rauskommt oder halt zu Halloween, Weihnachten etc.
