New Truck Chassis Variants and Tuning
While working on the new heavy cargoes, we were inspired to take a look into special transport variants of truck tractors. The fan community has long been asking for 8x4 chassis options, and this is a great opportunity to finally introduce them into the game. We don't have 8x4 chassis option available for all the trucks in the game at this moment, but we hope that you will be happy to find it available for Mercedes-Benz New Actros, Volvo FH 2012, and both Scania R and Streamline trucks.
The new chassis variants are a free part of today's game update, so you can try them out immediately even without buying the Heavy Cargo Pack DLC. For each new vehicle variant, we have also created a set of new paint jobs too, to make you feel real unique and anxious for the more difficult challenges. In addition, we have added several new truck tuning accessories into the game, such as wheel tuning parts.

With the new heavy loads, you may find out that not all trucks are equally suitable for hauling them. There are technical as well as legal limitations and implications for transporting heavy cargo in the real wold, and while Euro Truck Simulator 2 is only a game, we felt that the players should be aware of them. All manufacturers offer a wide range of options for the trucks, and the companies that buy them try their best to optimize the configuration to best suit their needs, while making the purchase economical - both at the time of purchase and even more importantly while operating them.
The new Truck Analysis screen is our attempt to indicate the suitability of a particular truck configuration for various operational scenarios and conditions. This new feature works in the upgrade shop too, where it may help you configure your truck to best fit your goals and budget.
The Truck Analysis screen doesn't impose any restrictions on your choice of vehicle, it is only there as a guide. But we think it may be a good idea to pay attention to the advice. You may make the screen disappear with a single click, but half an hour later, you may find yourself in real trouble trying to pass a difficult spot in the world, and upset that you have not made a wiser choice of the truck to pull the heavy cargo.

Das ist auch so ein Spiel wo ich mir denke: das müsste unglaublich entspannend sein, es zu zocken

ETS2 ist wohl nicht für reine Controllersteuerung ausgelegt. Aber als ich dann losfahren konnte, hatte ich die ganze Zeit ein Grinsen im Gesicht...zumindest bis ich im Rückspiegel gesehen hatte, dass mein Anhänger weg war. Macht schon Spaß. Mal gucken, ob's mich länger motivieren kann.

Ich hab gestern nur mal kurz reinschauen können und war erstmal wegen der Steuerung ein wenig überfordert. ETS2 ist wohl nicht für reine Controllersteuerung ausgelegt. Aber als ich dann losfahren konnte, hatte ich die ganze Zeit ein Grinsen im Gesicht...zumindest bis ich im Rückspiegel gesehen hatte, dass mein Anhänger weg war.
So sind in etwa meine Einstellungen für den Controller (von der Empfindlichkeit her z.B.)
Tasten sind bei mir so belegt (Xbox One Controller):

We would like to invite you to a new World of Trucks event.
The grand vision of World of Trucks has been keeping a dedicated team of senior designers and programmers at SCS Software fully busy for several years already, and there is still a ton of work ahead of them until they are ready to unveil the next major phase of it. Fortunately, there are smaller milestones along the way that will allow us to bring something new for you, and one of them is better support for "meta game" events. Automating more of the event infrastructure means that we can organize more events per year, and with freshly introduced support for Steam Inventory, there is also a better way to give cool little rewards to successful participants. We used to depend on the somewhat clumsy system of redeemable Steam Keys and heavy DLCs, but now with Steam Inventory drops, we can work with individual pieces of content.
To promote our "Vive la France !" map expansion, our first event of this new type is centered on the new game region.
Help us strengthen the economic relations of France with the rest of Europe! Kick the economy to a higher gear, and establish new Trade Connections!
It's surely going to be a ton of work, but we have a special reward for everyone ready to help. Can we count on you?
Now straight to the rules of this event:
To get the reward for this event, your goal is to complete a delivery of any cargo to or from France with at least 10 other countries in Europe. The event will last for a whole month, giving you plenty of time to complete it until October 1.
We are introducing a new feature to World of Trucks called the 'Log Book' - it will allow you to check on your past transportation jobs. Refer to it to check on your progress in the event.
If you'll pass this requirement, you will get a special reward, which includes:
- 'Heart of France' - an interior copper statue decoration inspired by France's iconic landmark
Plus a random drop reward:
- 3 random country pennants to further customize your truck interior
As we are taking advantage of Steam's very own Inventory infrastructure, there are a couple of features that come along with it. The individual items can be traded or even sold through Steam, which may create interesting interactions. Just remember that if you get rid of a particular Inventory item, you will no longer be able to see it in the game's Upgrade Shop and equip your truck with it.

Um im September den Eiffelturm und die Wimpel abzugreifen, müßt ihr folgendes machen:
Zuerst müßt ihr einen Account bei https://www.worldoftrucks.com anlegen.
Dann müßt ihr innerhalb von ETS2 euer Spiel mit eurem neu angelegten World of Trucks-Account verbinden.
Danach müßt ihr in ETS2 innerhalb des Septembers auf dem Frachtmarkt zehn Externe Aufträge ausführen, die nach und von Frankreich gehen.
Und zwar aus zehn verschiedenen Ländern, also z.b. von Frankreich nach Großbritannien, dann übersetzen nach Norwegen, von dort aus nach Frankreich und weiter nach Belgien, von Belgien aus nach Luxemburg und von dort zurück nach Frankreich etc.
Und damit das zählt müssen das Externe Aufträge vom Frachtmarkt sein.
Die blaue Restzeit für diese Aufträge ist Echtzeit und keine Spielzeit, also am besten nichts annehmen, was ihr in dieser Spielesitzung nicht erledigen könnt.

Wenn ich mir irgendwann mal ein Lenkrad mit H-Schaltung gekauft habe, dann muß mal bei ETS2 und ATS der Schwierigkeitsgrad gesteigert werden - mit einem Eaton Fuller Shifter für den PC:

In this version you will notice a lot of changes during your jobs all across Europe, because not only did we expand the map on its frontiers, we also added and enhanced cities and landscapes in many other places.
We added three new countries for you to visit: Croatia, Serbia and Ireland. Of course with their very own look and atmosphere – including their own police cars. And if you love going north, take a sightseeing trip all the way up to North Cape!
Many changes and additions were also made for the various companies and cargos. We added several missing company skins for the trailers – including the Schwarzmüller DLC. And if you love to haul double trailers, we enabled them in the job markets of Germany, Finland, Spain and the Netherlands.

Seit wann gibt es eigentlich Items zum verkaufen? Also bei ETS2.

Bin jetzt übrigens bei 3 von 10 Fahrten.
Im Workshop gibt es das nicht, das mußt du dir über die ProMods Seite runterladen, dafür mußt du allerdings registriert sein.
Danach kannst du dir die 1,66 GB entweder umsonst und langsam in mehreren Teilen runterladen oder für einen Euro in einem Stück und schnell.
Den Anweisungen zur Installation folgen und ganz wichtig, die eine Konfigurationsdatei für den Mod erstellen und ebenfalls in den mod Ordner einfügen.
Hat bei mir alles problemlos geklappt, aber die Framerate ist ein bißchen eingeknickt.
Mal schauen was ich da noch ändern kann oder muß.
Für 2.18 habe ich Geld bezahlt,und es stürzt permanent ab!
Hast du schon mal die Installation von ETS2 in Steam überprüft?
Ich war auch sehr überrascht, denn zu Weihnachten gab es unter anderem eine Drachenlackierung als Belohnung für das Weihnachtsgeschenke ausliefern und für die gab es einen Steamcode.
