Received the game today. It's practically the laziest thing Nintendo could have done in every way. The game itself is not adapted to the Wii whatsoever. It runs in 4:3 mode and really is the All Stars ROM emulated. Even the controller description are still for an SNES controller. At least you can play it with the remote, Classic Controller or the GC pad. But really, even their VC releases received more treatment. SMB2jp had just some little black borders left and right, this is real 4:3, meaning half of the screen is black.
The art book is not an art book, it's a booklet and is about as interesting. Maybe one step above an advertising brochure.
The soundtrack CD comes with its own DVD case...but the contents are...laughable. 20 tracks of which 10 are just sound effects. Total playtime's about 26 minutes (and even worse, it seems they don't consider Yoshi's Island a real Mario game, since it's not on the CD).
The outer package looks nice, but that's really it. If you're buying it for your shelf, that's nice, but with over 300,000 units sold, it's really not that limited.
