Brickset Forums, we now have the placeholders for the LEGO Dimensions 2016 packs! As you can imagine, the placeholders in this list aren’t very descriptive and they can lead to misinterpretations. Nonetheless, here’s the what Paperballpark provided:
- 71242 GB 1
- 71243 HP 1
- 71244 S1
- 71245 AT 1
- 71246 AT 2
- 71247 HP 2
- 71248 MI
- 71249 AT 3
- 71250 GB 2
- 71251 Mr T
- 71252 KR
- 71253 FB 1
- 71254 TTG 1
- 71255 TTG 2
- 71256 GR 1
- 71257 FB 2
- 71258 ET 1
- 71259 Connectable 1
- 71260 Connectable 2
- 71261 Connectable 3
- 71262 Connectable 4
- 71263 Connectable 5
As you can see, the list is quite big and ambiguous. There’s over 20 new sets planned and their acronyms could stand for anything, however, using some common sense and prior knowledge, here’s what the placeholders could stand for:
- ET – As the name suggests, this could perfectly be a pack based on the iconic E.T. movie.
- AT – This could either be Adventure Time or A-Team. I would go for the latter since Just2good, a well-known source of LEGO news, has hinted at this idea for a while.
- GB – Ghostbusters? There’s already a few Ghostbusters packs planned to be released next week. Maybe LEGO is producing more sets so that you can have the entire team in the game?
- HP – Harry Potter? This theme has been proven to be a success when it comes to LEGO Video Games, it would come to no one’s surprise if TT Games and Warner Bros. decided to put them in this game.
- TTG – Teen Titans Go? We’ve already seen a few Teen Titans minifigures in the LEGO Batman 3 video game. Perhaps this will be our chance to get physical versions of them as well?
- Mr T – The one and only Mr. T! This has been rumoured for a while and I guess this acts as confirmation?
- S – Sonic The Hedgehod? Hard to tell when there’s only one initial, however Just2good allegedly said there would be a Sonic pack. If this is not the case, this could either be a Scooby-Doo or Simpsons pack, but I’d go with what Just2good says given his record of always providing us with true facts.
- MI – Mission: Impossible? Given the recent release of the new film and how much love this franchise receives, I wouldn’t see why LEGO wouldn’t cash on it.
- FB – Fantastic Beasts? If we are getting a Harry Potter pack why not include one for a franchise spin-off!
- KR – Knight Rider? Im honestly not sure as to what this could be.
- GR – _________? Same as above, no clue on what it might be.
